What's this?

Slurpy: *GASP!* Can it be that the Hobbit is posting once more? This can't be! Didn't she drop off the face of this earth?

Squishy: I thought she did. She never writer anymore, and we're having to spend our time talking inside other people's heads. She doesn't even talk to me anymore.

Slurpy: I heard that Morris, over in the Department of Logic, talked to her just the other day. She said that she starting to downsize, and that there's been budget cuts.

Squishy: *Gasp* NO!

Slurpy: Mmmhhmmm. She said that the Department of Logic would be the first one to go, seeing as it is there's been a decline in performance over there in recent years. Poor Morris, he's being transferred to the Mathematics department.

Squishy: Oh dear, poor Morris! We both know what that means... He's never going to work again!

That's right, folks! I am afraid that I've finally had to shut down all traces of logic in my brain. Funding has run short these days, and the Mathematics Department will be next, you can count on it! All I can say is that the little guys working in the Department of Fantasy have nothing to worry about. Their futures are secured for as long as their boss lives. :D

I've done a bit more research on names, and come up with some very interesting things. Read closely...

The official "Welcome back me" post!

Well well, what have we here? *Gasp!* Oh no, it's... It's... It's too horrible to say! AHHH! Run, hide! I have returned! [insert maniacal laughter here]

Yes folks, after an extremely long absence, I have returned to the beloved Mushroom Patch. I think I'll try writing a little more, as it does good for my heart to be able to pour it out on a frequent basis. Besides, when writing is a big part of your life (Mind you, not the biggest part, but a fairly large part) you reach a point where it feels unnatural to not write.

So, what have I been up to lately, you might ask? Nothing much. Dancing, writing, crocheting, dancing some more, spending time up at camp... You get the picture. Pretty busy. I'm having a lot of fun right now. God has blessed me immensely, and I can't wait to see what he does with the remainder of this year!

I've enrolled for the fall semester at the junior college here, and look forward to my classes. I was going to take three classes, but one was cancelled, so I'm only going to be able to take two. After that, I think I'll prolly take classes for the spring semester, too. Then I'll help up at Twin Peaks for the summer, including being a counselor (Hopefully) for one of the younger weeks. It's going to be my last year as a camper, so I'm going to make the most out of high school week. Then it's off to Frontier next fall! I can't wait, I know God's going to teach me so much there! I just pray that I will be able to please Him with my life.

Well, seeing as this is my first post in forever, I've decided to have a little fun with it, too! Welcome, my friends to [Drumroll] "Things you didn't know about your friends!" The part of the show where I reveal what I've found out about you, yes you! by conducting a google search on your name. *Chuckle*

I shall start with myself:

Amy Hamilton:

A Scientologist

Journalist

Musician

Teacher

And finally(Hehe): I lived in Flossmoor, Illinois, was married to Robert James Orby Hunter, and lived from 1854- 1920. I look good for being dead, don't I? ;)

I'll come up with someone else in my next post. Until then, please consider the fact that every time you kiss a lima bean, God sends an igloo to Africa. Good night, and drive safely.

May favorite Bible Passage

1 The LORD is my light and my salvation—
whom shall I fear?
The LORD is the stronghold of my life—
of whom shall I be afraid?

2 When evil men advance against me
to devour my flesh, [a]
when my enemies and my foes attack me,
they will stumble and fall.

3 Though an army besiege me,
my heart will not fear;
though war break out against me,
even then will I be confident.

4 One thing I ask of the LORD,
this is what I seek:
that I may dwell in the house of the LORD
all the days of my life,
to gaze upon the beauty of the LORD
and to seek him in his temple.

5 For in the day of trouble
he will keep me safe in his dwelling;
he will hide me in the shelter of his tabernacle
and set me high upon a rock.

6 Then my head will be exalted
above the enemies who surround me;
at his tabernacle will I sacrifice with shouts of joy;
I will sing and make music to the LORD.

7 Hear my voice when I call, O LORD;
be merciful to me and answer me.

8 My heart says of you, "Seek his [b] face!"
Your face, LORD, I will seek.

9 Do not hide your face from me,
do not turn your servant away in anger;
you have been my helper.
Do not reject me or forsake me,
O God my Savior.

10 Though my father and mother forsake me,
the LORD will receive me.

11 Teach me your way, O LORD;
lead me in a straight path
because of my oppressors.

12 Do not turn me over to the desire of my foes,
for false witnesses rise up against me,
breathing out violence.

13 I am still confident of this:
I will see the goodness of the LORD
in the land of the living.

14 Wait for the LORD;
be strong and take heart
and wait for the LORD.

I know everything, just ask me!

That was one of the things my mother and I joked about today. We had fun! I went to work today, raking leaves and sticks and taking them in a weelbarrow to a burn pile. I feel like a piece of dough, pounded, whirled around and flattened. lol. Not quite that bad, but it sound good and silly, right? *Chuckle*

Anywoot, while mother and I where doing fence, we had a grand ol' time! Here're some of the things that we said.

"I know everything, just ask me."

"I'm so smart, and humble too!"

"I'm at the end of my electric fence!"

"You look like you're in more pain than a man who just straddled an electric fence!" "Or a barbed wire one" "OUCH!"

"Isn't Chelsea (My dog) cute?" "She's pretty" "She's pretty fat" "She's a pretty, fat dog." "Weel look at it this way, when she's fat there's so much more of her to love!"

"I have a tail! It's a tail of intrigue, suspense and mystery! Oh wait, wrong kind of tail." "Depends on how you spell it."

"We're the dinamic duo of fencing!"

"I was sent an email the other day. It went like this: May the fleas of a thousand camels infest the crotch of the person who screws up your day, and may their arms be too short to scratch!" "Oh, that's horrible!" "No it's funny!" "Amy" "Yes?" "You're weird"

Song

I wrote a song today, tell me what you think!

Blessed be the name

Verse 1
The LORD giveth,
And he taketh away.
Blessed be the name of the LORD!

He send me these trials,
So that I may say:
"Blessed be the name of the LORD!"

Chorus
I am pressed,
But not crushed.
Perplexed,
But not despairing.
Persecuted,
Not abandoned.
Struck down,
But not Destroyed!

Verse 2
The LORD giveth,
And He taketh away!
Blessed be the name of the LORD!

He sends me these trials,
To glorify His name!
Blessed be the name of the LORD!

Go to Chorus

Bridge
My God is always with me,
He will never let me down.
Thought the waters rage around me,
He'll never let me drown.

The LORD giveth,
And he taketh away!
Blessed be the name of the LORD!

This song has been born of many trials that God has sent to my family. God has allowed satan to test us because I'm sure He wants us to grow. During this whole ordeal the verse from Job (Weel several, in fact) that says: "The LORD gave, and the LORD has taken away; Blessed be the name of the LORD" has been running through my mind. There's also a verse in
2 Corinthians 4:8-10:

We are hard pressed in ever side,
but not crushed;
Perplexed,
but not in depair;
Persecuted,
but not abandoned;
Struck down,
but not destroyed.
We always carry around in our body
the death of Jesus,
so that the Life of Jesus may also
be revealed in our body.

This song came to me today, along with a tune. I think God is telling me through this song that it's all going to be ok. I wrote this down because I want others to be able to read it and be encouraged, that no matter what they're going through, God is there, watching over you. Thank you LORD, for giving and blessing, then teaching us to be content with nothing, and blessing you!

Hymns

Goodness Gracious me! I haven't written in......... okee so I won't make the fact that I've neglected this poor little blog elaborate, I'll just say....... Long times.

I'm on a spiritual high this week! Isn't God good?! He's amazingly and wonderfully stupendous! The first thing I wanna do when I get to Heaven is hug Him! *Ponders* I wonder if hugging God is allowed? I'll bet it prolly is! I can't wait!

I have decided to write down my favorite hymns, from A to Z, giving an explaination why I love them so much. *Sigh* There are so many I love, but I can only choose one per letter, so here goes!

A- Amazing Grace. Reason? Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound that saved a wretch like me!

B- Blessed Assurance. Jesus is mine, and I am His. He was, is and always will be mine, and I His.

C- Weel it's a toss up between: Crown Him with many Crowns. Or: Count your blessings. I'm gonna go with Count your Blessings. I'm blessed with so many things from the Father: a loving family (Even though we want to kill each other sometimes *Chuckle*) A roof over my head, good health, a Savior who would give His life for a despicable, unlovable worm such as myself. The list goes on and on!

D- Doxology. Weel after I count my blessings I want to praise the One who blesses me.

E- El Shaddai. It's a wonderful song of Jesus' sacrifice for me!

F- Fairest Lord Jesus. The earth is fair, yet Jesus is more so. Sun, moon and stars in their facets will never compare with the beauty of our Lord. He makes that which is most beautiful in our world, and yet the glory of the rising sun will never compete with my Father God.

G- Great is Thy Faithfulness. His faithfulness to His people will never fail or waver, that's one of the things I love so much about Him!

H- He Lives. Reason? He Lives!

I- I Love to Tell the Story. Jesus said to go out to the world and make disciples of all men, that's what I'm going to do, and I love doing, too!

J- Jesus Paid it All. Why would he pay such an unfair price for damaged goods, for a pitcher with a crack? There's a book on our bookshelf entittled: God Uses Crackes Pots. Perhaps that's why he would pay so high a price for me, he knew he could use me.

K- K?............ Kum-Bah-Ya my Lord, Kum-Ba-Yah! That's the only one I know. It is a good song, though.

L- Leaning on the Everlasting Arms. When the storms of life are battering my will, tossing my faith every which way, His arms will take hold of me. Leaning on the Everlasting Arms.

M- Make me a Blessing. Lord, use me to be a blessing to the people around me. Let your light shine through me. Show yourself to the lost through your servant.

N- Nothing but the Blood. What can wash away my sin? Nothing but the Blood of Jesus.

O- Oh how I love Jesus! He first loved me and drew me to His side. He loved me so much that He would die for me, there is no greater love. How can I not love Him in return?

P- Praise Him! Praise Him! The tittle says it all!

Q- Eh......... Q........... Bill Gaither needs to write Q.

R- Rock of Ages. He's my rock, the only firm ground amid a perverse and corrupt world. I will hide myself in His shelter.

S- Standing on the Promises. God has promised me so much, I have many good things to look forward too!

T- Take My Life and Let it Be. Lord, all I have to give you is myself, will you take it?

U- Uhhh............ Untittled Hymn (Come to Jesus) written by Chris Rice. It's a perfect song about life before and after Jesus saves us, it makes me cry every time I sing or hear it!

V- Victory in Jesus! No one but Jesus can bring us victory, be it spiritual or physical.

W- I can't choose just one for this! What a Friend we have in Jesus. Why? When our closest friend abandons us, and the world has turned it's back on us, Jesus is always there. Isn't that such an encouraging thought? Also: What a glorious day! I can't wait for His return, can you?

X- Yeah right. Anyone wanna write the hymn of X?

Y- Don't know any Ys. *Sadened* Anyone want to teach me one?

Z- Noop.

There you have them folks, some of my favorites! Bill Gaither need to write hymns Q,X,Y and Z!
